Oil buddy initiative
Oil buddy initiative is a green initiative spear headed by Riptide oils. The oil buddy initiative is a educational fund raising project focused on schools, where funds are raised for any school that decides to participate in the drive. Any school can participate.
The funds raised by the school can be used for any project that the school feel most necessary example; sporting tours, art projects, upgrading, purchase of new equipment etc.
Oil buddy initiative is focused on the prevention of oil disposed of into our water systems and drains. Oil that ends up in our water
HOW IT WORKS
OIL BUDDY will place a 1000 liter flowbin on the school premises. The size of the flowbin is 1 meter by 1.2 meter so it hardly takes up any space at all. The school then sends out a message to the children and parents via either the D6 school communicator or letter requesting the learners to collect and bring their household used cooking oil to school. The oil is then collected in the flowbin on the premises. Oil Buddy will collect whenever the bin is full, we are only a phone call away. The bins are clearly marked to indicate the liters so that everyone is on the same page regarding the quantity of used oil collected.
